Hello, loves! First of all: hello, hi, how are you??? I hope you are all staying healthy + sane during this turbulent and weird time. Last week, I shared on my feed my thoughts about Toxic Productivity. I’m so happy that this idea resonated so deeply with many of you. It was the most freeing realization that taking care of myself during this time>being productive. My #1 job during this Global Pandemic is to soothe my nervous system, do things that bring me joy, + stay happy, inspired, and connected to loved ones (and hopefully bring some light to others along the way, whether from a social distance or the loved ones that I am co-quarantining with).

Letting go of toxic productivity doesn’t mean that I just sit around all day. I have a basic formula for my Daily Quar(routine) that has been helping me immensely. Keeping a structure and schedule helps me feel more normal and motivated because there is a sense of safety in structure. Here are some things that have been helping me stay busy and inspired.

You have to keep doing things that your future self will thank you for doing during this time. For me that includes:

  • Daily Pranayama (this virus is respiratory so it’s important to keep our lungs strong. Check out my Breathwork IGTV video)

  • Daily Meditation/Morning Practice to stay calm and centered (check out my Grounding Meditation on IGTV)

  • Daily movement/Zoom ballet classes with Ido Tadmor

  • Checking in with loved ones via FaceTime

  • Eating nourishing meals + grounding foods

  • Drinking lots of water!!

  • Limiting screen time when possible (sooo hard during quarantine! What helps me is literally sleeping with my phone in another room and setting limits)

  • Keeping a consistent sleep schedule (not going to bed too late, not sleeping in excessively)

  • Reading books I’ve always wanted to read (Who wants to start a book club?!) Here is a list of some of my favorite reads!

  • Daily walks around the neighborhood

  • SUNSHINE!!! If you don’t live somewhere warm or can’t get outside due to restrictions or weather, set yourself up next to a window to soak up some juicy vitamin D!

  • Keeping immunity up with supplements (Ritual Daily vitamins, SEED probiotics [use my code “BALLET15”], vitamin d3 [for lack of sunshine], Hush and Hush supplements [use my code “HEALTHYBALLERINA”], Vitamin C, Wellness Formula, and chopped garlic clove when I need extra support, ImmuniTEA with throat coat tea, reishi, and honey

  • A big Philosophie Green Dream Smoothie for lots of phytonutrients and greens

  • Daily excerpts from The Book of Awakening by Mark Nepo. I loveee this meditation book! It’s actually the only thing that keeps me aware of what day it is during quarantine since each entry is dated. This book is full of so much wisdom and perspective!

  • SELF CARE!! facemasks, bubble baths, sauna sessions, dry brushing, home mani/pedis. Make it fun! Pamper yourself.

  • Catching up on TV shows at night (I’ve been loving Unorthodox, Dave, Euphoria, Sex and the City, Love Is Blind, Schitt’s Creek, and can’t wait for Fauda Season 3!!!) Recs are welcome!!

  • Allowing myself to indulge in nightcaps (organic wine, hard kombucha, hard seltzer). Opt for low sugar drinks to avoid headaches and yuckiness the next day! I love Winc sulfite-free organic wine because it legit prevents headaches the next day from the lack of sulfites!

  • Staying inspired and motivated no matter what it takes!

  • Journaling! I’ve been having crazy dreams and dream journaling every morning! Such a powerful practice to glean insight into our subconscious. I love my journals from The Magic of I (code “HEALTHYBALLERINA” for 10% off) They’re sooo beautiful.

  • Sticking to a structured schedule throughout the day with weekly goals

  • Allowing for plenty of rest and time to just be and process what’s going on around me…aka NAPS!!

  • CBD all day every day!!! Favorite brands are Clean Remedies (code “HEALTHY_BALLERINA20” for 20% off), Ned (code “healthyballerina” for 10% off)

  • Light yoga/stretching every day! I’m hoping to lead a virtual zoom class soon! In the meantime, Classpass has some great virtual offerings too

Ballet class via Zoom from my room!
