I admit it, I’m a coffee fiend! In fact, I’ve always somewhat resented matcha by virtue of the fact that it’s often used to replace coffee. Coffee will ALWAYS be my #1…but the problem with quarantine life is being hopped up on caffeine stuck in your house is no bueno😅 Lately, I’ve been loving making afternoon iced matchas to satisfy that 2 pm slump instead! It’s always good to mix it up. Matcha also has a lot of wonderful health benefits: it’s packed with antioxidants, rich in chlorophyll and vitamins, and boosts metabolism.

Recipe:

  • 16 oz nondairy milk like Ripple

  • 2-3 tsp matcha from Ippodo 

  • 1 heaping scoop of collagen! I love HVMN but I ran out so I used Vital Proteins here! Anything vanilla or with a little coconut milk powder is delicious with matcha

  • 1 tsp Lakanto granulated monkfruit sweetener [Use code “HEALTHYBALLERINA”]

  • 1 tsp Sun Potion Mucuna for happiness

  • 1 tsp Four Sigmatic Mushroom blend for immunity

  • 1 tsp Leaner Creamer sweetener
